This month has flown by!

I'm not even sure what we've done this month, but it has flown by!  I have started a new job.  I'm now with an orthopedic doc in Shawnee.  i worked with her when she was a resident and also when I was at the ER in Shawnee.  It was actually the first job I was told about after I was given my "seven week paid vacation."  So, it worked out perfect.  Her and I are so similar, it makes it easy to work for her because I know how she will react to things (for the most part).  I work about 40 hours/week and only take call when she is out of town!  Boy is that a change from 60 hours and carrying that stinkin' pager everyday!  We have my softball schedules, that's right, I said schedules on our calendar, and I never have to miss a game or get there late.  She makes sure of that!  My life is much less stressful.  My headaches, although, not gone, are mucho better!

Finally talked Justin into playing on one of my teams.  It's the Friday league.  He REALLY didn't want to go, but once he got out there, he had a good time.

We are going through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (FPU) together at church on Sunday nights.  So far, it is going well.  It's just common sense, but, it's easier hearing it from someone else and seeing examples.  We have a group, and Justin got volunteered as the table leader!  That's what he gets for wearing his Penn State hat the first night!

We participated in the Heart Walk.  His bosses friend lost her husband at just 38 to a massive heart attack.  This was just 2 months ago!  This was actually her first outing.  It was great to be able to support her in this endeavour.

I am still a Operation Boot  Camp instructor.  I am 100% totally addicted to it.  I love being there every morning, rain or shine.  In fact, when I can't be there, I am so disappointed.  It is great to have new campers come and totally change their lives in a few short weeks.  Justin is a punk!  I get a few free passes, but he still won't come with me.  A little frustrated, especially because he said the reason he didn't want to come was because it was expensive.

Well.... hopefully I will keep everyone updated a little more often.  Have a great day.

NYC

Beautiful sunset from the "Top of the Rock".  It was amazing what you could see from up there.

A random building by Ground Zero, but I thought this was a really cool picture!

A random guy with a huge weird mohawk.  I think he caught me!

Dinner at John's Pizzaria.  Yum.

Our first subway ride in NYC!

After leaving Pittsburgh, I flew to NYC to meet up with Shannon and Jessica.  We got there super late, or I guess early Friday morning.  We took a taxi to our hotel.  We literally only had 2 days to see and do everything!  We had a great time, can't wait to go back.

Tubbie Time!

Does this kid not look like Justin?!  Look at that nose!

Macho man!

These guys are so stinkin' cute!  Tubbie time happens at Grammy's every Tuesday night, then they both run around  naked for about 5 minutes just screaming!  It's nuts, but fun!

My Pittsburgh Friends!

Got to hang out with the girls.  I miss them! Cara, Beth, and Emily.

Bumper cars on ice!  Uncle Justin and Lucas.  We had so much fun!

New to this!

I'm new to this, but I'm going to try to start blogging!  Like I really have any free time to do this, but, what the heck!  I know I love reading other people's blogs and finding out what is going on in their lives.  Since January we have been extremely busy, but I'm not really sure with what!  We just got back from visiting the Bruschi's in PA.  We surprised Alicia for her 30th birthday.  She was definitely surprised, twice!  As usual, we had a typical Amanda and Justin flight.  This time, I totally know, it was our fault, but..... the guy did not have to be so incredibly rude!!!!  We could not understand him while the plane (our plane) was loading.  All of a sudden I kind of heard something that may have resembled Amanda along with a "final call."!!!  So I took my ticket to the desk and the extremely rude worker told me it was too late, he already gave our seats away!  I yelled for Justin, the guy just walked away!  I was shaking, I was so mad.  The other lady said she did not have time to help us and walked away.  So... we walked to the next desk, where the lady also walked to.  It was almost like the airport scene off of Meet the Parents, she totally acted like she did not know what we were going to say!  I asked her if she would help us.  I asked to talk to her supervisor, and guess what?  That rude guy was her supervisor!  So I asked to talk to his supervisor.  About 15 min later, one of only 2 nice people we encountered helped us get on 2 separate flights.  We both made it to dinner for Alicia, Justin was a few minutes late, but we made it!  It's always something!
